DRIFTWOOD CHRONICLE · PUBLISHER NOTES
How a contact becomes a record
The entry is only as useful as its evidence. We keep source context visible and distinguish a new editorial description from a newly reviewed company contact.
Evidence and scope
Company websites, help centers and published company documents are the preferred sources. Where a channel belongs to a related brand, booking partner or other provider, the listing should make that identity and purpose clear. A suitable web form can be listed when a public telephone cannot be confirmed.
Dates are about the source
A contact date means its supporting material was reviewed on that date. It does not mean a call was answered, a transaction was tested or every department was checked again. Records inherited from earlier research retain their source dates. Changes to writing and layout have a separate editorial date.
A number is not a service promise
The department label matters. An airline reservations line is not described as a dedicated refund desk without evidence. Toll-free describes the number type and its stated calling region; your carrier or an international call may still impose charges. We do not generate wait times, popularity rankings or response guarantees.
When evidence is incomplete
A source may require a region selection, a signed-in account or a functioning script. When the available evidence does not establish an appropriate phone contact, the record points to the provider’s online route instead of supplying an invented number.
Correcting a record
Send the listing URL, the detail in question and a current company source to landward@driftwoodchronicle.com. A correction is assessed against its evidence. Please do not attach entire account files or travel documents just to identify a public contact change.
